About Buster's Chickens!
Buster and I have started raising chickens, hatching chicks and selling farm fresh eggs. Our chickens free range and are only penned up at night for their safety. We have certification from the TVMDL that are flock is clean and we are registered with the Texas Animal Health Commission. Certificate, flock number and permit number are available upon request.
Currently, our layers are orpingtons, rhode island reds, red sex-link, cochins and ameraucanas which lay for us white, brown, pink, blue and green color eggs. We recently hatched some marans which we hope will provide us with the dark chocolate colored eggs. To read more about these breeds and other breeds we carry, click here. These laying hens are not for sale. Please check out our "FOR SALE" section for available laying hens, pullets, pairs and chicks. Picture insert is that of Buster and his favorite rooster, Buster Brown.
We try to always have laying hens available for sale. We do not sell processed chickens yet. We hope to start selling broilers in spring of 2008. We do sell live roosters on occassion from $4 - $8 per bird depending on size, age and availability. A dozen eggs are $4.00 for large - ex large, $3.00 for half large, half med.
We also sell ducks and turkeys on occassion when our local 4H and FFA have their culls.
